The weather was a little sloppy the first couple days. We hadn't packed for snow, but could have had some dandy sled runs as the highest camps had 17" of snow. Since the weather most of Friday was cold and sloppy, we hung out inside with chess, scrabble, monopoly, mancala, and good books (Leadelle read Jane Eyre.)
Friday night we were going a bit stir-crazy and so we headed into Heber to a bowling joint Debbie (Dave's sister) and Dave Passey had showed us a few weeks back.
Dave did battle with hunger in the indstrial-sized kitchen.
Saturday morning we slept in a little late (for us) and were just kind of getting going when the camp host visited and told us the lake was open and were we planning to keep our water time in 30 minutes? Well, yeah! They had paddle boats which we all took out at first and then Dave and the girls (except Aleah) traded for a canoe.
Leadelle's mom and dad came up for lunch with us on Saturday and took some of the kids on a nice drive around the camp, which is some 8,600 acres. We all cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned some more to get checked out.
After a nice break, we loaded into Mom and Dad Parish's suburban for home.
