The first time I saw Enchanted I loved it. It was just irresistible to me. The second time I watched it, I knew more why I loved it the first time: it reminded me of my sister-in-law Katie. I like that this animated character chooses a real life with heart-ache and even anger over her innocent, story-book begining.
So Friday while I was at the office, I called and invited Katie to watch it with us; she STILL hadn't seen it! Dave and the boys were leaving on a camping trip and so it would just be the girls at our place anyway. As it turned out Katie was already in Orem and things worked out perfectly!
Katie and Mom Parish came over and just as I was finishing some food for dinner, Mike (Dave's brother) and Shan'l came with their kids plus Nicki and Davin who were staying at Mom's too. Shan'l brought more (and better) pasta (delicious stuffed pasta shells). After dinner we took our chocolate candybars downstairs and watched Enchanted. Every seat and all the floor was covered with people I love, and we all laughed and enjoyed the show with Katie, seeing it with first-time eyes again. What a fill-you-up, great memory!
