Cause and Effect

I took the little girls to the home expo last weekend while the boys were on a campout, Dave was out of town, and Cambry was practicing her play. Each booth had candy out for the kids and it was better than Halloween for them, I'm sure.

Well after consuming candy for one and a half hours straight, it was time to go home. Elise rode with her cousin Liesel and so it was just Aleah in my car. She started coughing and before I could even think about a response, Aleah decided to head me off:

"I not coughing because I just ate all that candy... I just coughing just 'cause... umm... it's just cause I just..."

By that point, of course, I was laughing loud and hard. She didn't think it was funny, but I still do! It's a funny commentary on me as much as her. :)

Life's pace

It's too fast today! We're celebrating Riley's 13th birthday. How can this little babe of yesterday be so big today? He's such a great kid and we love having him.

Additionally, we're trying to run a remodel at home and an expansion at work. Plus Cambry is lead in the final school play this weekend. My head is swimming in chaos. I keep looking to the finish line, gauging how far behind it I will collapse.

When things slow down just a tad, I'll post pictures.

I was listening to the Ensign while I ran in place (this is my favorite part of having my own machine) and this article from Marion G. Romney roused my spirit so that I had to broadcast it. I feel of it's truth.
