Dear Riley,
Happy Easter! We're headed home from Grandma and Grandpa B's house. M and L brought A up with them. She's living with them for a few months until she starts Fall semester at BYU. L's family was there, even S came for a little while. Did I tell you he had surgery two weeks ago on his neck? And G goes in for surgery Thursday to repair a bad hip replacement she had done three years ago. GG B was also with us. So it was very nice to be all together today.
The weather turned cold for a couple days. But today has been bright and beautiful. The Easter bunny hid the eggs in the front yard. The hunt this morning was nice, though we couldn't find one. (Parker found it in his basket in the ride home.) And the Easter bunny found a few new hiding places for baskets, notably the trash can for Parker's.
We made it to Spring Break! Oooh am I glad for the week off. We haven't planned much, but just not having so much to do is delightful.
(Side note: Josie is hopped up on Easter candy and dye coloring with no nap and it's past her bedtime. She's jabbering like her existence depends on making noise. Don't you miss the long rides home from Layton?)
BL was married Friday. Dad and I went with Cambry and R to the reception. Saturday night Cambry felt like she should break up with him. It was sweet and they are friends still. She feels bad because he did nothing wrong. In fact, he did so much right. It's a curious thing, the heart.
Conference was so wonderful. Elder Anderson highlighted a couple from Thailand in the Sunday afternoon session after the temple announcement in the morning. So you were very much in our thoughts. How exciting to have you serving in a place which merits a new temple.
I sent your package yesterday. It isn't much, regretfully. But each ounce is packed with love! Unfortunately, I had to count ounces.
I have such gratitude for the Savior and his miraculous resurrection. I am so thankful you are sharing Him and His message in Thailand.
What was your Easter like? What can we do to better support you?
We love and miss you.
Love,
Mom
