I’m racing out the door for New Year’s Eve and I hope to get back to this letter before you’re on.
Happy New Year! I don’t know if they celebrate our new year and Chinese New Year there. And how are the Pdays going to work for next week? Will you have another in like three days?
This week has been a relationship/organization week. Dad and I saw Star Wars since we spoke and I sent the kids today. C and Cambry saw it last night. Everyone really liked it.
I haven’t sent any paper prints of the pictures. Sorry. I'll send them tomorrow.
C works with a girl in the BYU laundry whose best friend is the daughter of your mission president. The J's daughter went to Thailand for Christmas. Cool!
Kids have had a nice break. I like being free from the schedules. But I’m still busy. Go figure. If only I didn’t just love good food!
Love you,
Mom
OK. To celebrate the New Year we went to AFM’s parents house for a New Year’s open house. They toasted in each new year along the way. We just missed the Canary Islands, but were there for Brazil which is fitting because PF also served there. This was the second evening we spent with them this week as we’d gone over Tuesday night for dinner and Bunco. We stayed with A’s family in Escondido last summer when we went down to San Diego and her kids are kind of extra cousins for our family, fun cousins.

Then we went over to Grandma’s to be with M and S, J and H, and J. I had taken food to A’s and then carted what was left over to Mom’s. I made the spinach artichoke dip, so good, and bought some fresh salsa. I also set out a cheese and sausage with crackers platter. And we took the onion dip and potato chips which were consumed at the first party. Oh yeah, and fudge.
But it’s just after 10 and Josie and I came home so she could go to bed. She missed her nap today because I let her go see the movie during her naptime. She is really tired and already asleep. I’m really tired too. I’m not used to having the house so quiet this time of night. I think I’ll just ignore the dishes in the sink tonight.
So that’s pretty much been my week. D and W are over and it’s a little less than an hour from our new year. Hope your’s is just great. I love you so much!
Love,
Mom
