Another big week. This has to be super short, sorry.
The Cam’s started the week by contracting the stomach flu. Cambry started vomiting Monday night after FHE and root beer floats. He held off till six the next morning. His nephew had been ill and his entire family took care of him while the parents were down with it. Ah, you get sick from people you love and people you don’t love, right? Elise and Parker also contracted it. I had a day of feeling nauseated, but nothing worse.
Sadly, there has been a lasting repercussion. Cameron never had permanent eye teeth grow in. So he has holes where they should be. He has a retainer with little flipper teeth on them that he wears. But when he was vomiting, they came out and he didn’t know it and flushed them down the toilet. So he looks like my hillbilly friend. He gets super embarrassed by it. Cambry doesn’t. He’s been fitted and the replacement should be here Wednesday.
Aleah had Hope of America. She was so excited. But just before the show started, Josie said her tummy hurt and she thought she might be coming down with the stomach flu. Remember when Elise vomited through Parker’s Hope of America? Well, I’ve already done that. So I took her out and had the Cam’s come pick her up so I could see some of the program. (Josie never got the flu, by the way.) They’ve shortened it and I just saw the last two numbers. But I’m glad I did.
We had a heck of a hail storm. It shredded the irises.
Dad and I biked Tuesday evening and Saturday morning. Tuesday was light pace which is nice. But pounding out at 20 mph is just so fun. :)
Wedding planning took my time this week. I know you’re surprised. The announcements are next on the list. Should be a fun party.
It’s been a sweet Mother’s Day. I slept in which I shouldn’t have. Aleah spread little sticky notes in my path, neon 2” square love notes greet me in unexpected places. Dad make breakfast, omelettes and orange julius. The primary song was a bust, my fault. I didn’t realize it was this week until last week, though I had it on my yearlong singing time guide. I’m just distracted. Anyway, they were cute up there singing and we’ll do better at Father’s Day.
I can’t wait to speak with you. I love you so much.
¾ down! Josie is five tomorrow!
Love,
Mom
Dad and Johnny worked with the kids to dip four pounds of strawberries in chocolate. The kids helped; Joise dipped them in the nuts. It took hours, but Dad said it is a great memory. They tasted great too!
